Solutions for consumer returns on Amazon and eBay
Returns are an issue that can’t be ignored. Your customers will expect almost immediate exchanges or refunds, meaning you need to minimize the time between the customer’s return shipment and its processing. Moreover, a customer who has already paid for the product and shipping will be reluctant to incur additional costs for an international return. To avoid such situations, popular sales platforms give sellers a choice – to provide a local return address or cover the cost of international return shipping. Returns ‘Paid by Consumer’ – meaning the customer covers the cost of the local return
A local return address is a significant convenience that, in some cases, removes the obligation for you to cover the return shipping cost. In the event of a return, simply provide your customer with a form to download instructions in the local language, including a label with the destination return address and a barcode that helps us identify and process your return. The customer then sends the return to our local address using any local courier or postal service at their own expense, and we take care of the rest.
Returns ‘Free to Consumer’ – meaning you cover the cost of the Amazon or eBay return
Sometimes a local address isn’t enough, and the responsibility of covering the return cost falls on you. In these situations, prepaid return labels are the solution. These “free to consumer” labels are at no cost to the customer. The process is simplified – the customer simply prints the label at home and drops off the package at the nearest designated carrier location. You only pay for the label once the customer decides to initiate the return.
If you need to accommodate a customer's complaint or maintain a free returns policy, the "free to consumer" label is the perfect solution. We enable your customers to create a local courier or postal label. This significantly reduces the cost of returns compared to traditional international shipping.
You are not obligated to cover the return costs if the customer changes their mind and wants to cancel the sale. In such cases, you send them a link to a return label with the address and shipping instructions in the local language. Alternatively, you can simply provide the local return address without sending a specific label, but then the tracking information for the return shipment will depend on the sender's details.
